Really excellent! I was a little skeptical going in, because I'm not a huge fan of the knights + dragons + witches kind of fantasy, and I'm certainly not a fan of romance plots, but it's just an excellently written book. The magic system is unique and serves the themes of the book beautifully, and the world building is captivating. It runs a little lengthy, but that can be forgiven. I think anyone interested in designing magic systems or fantasy worlds should be taking note.

Just finished part 1 (of 2) and holy shit this book is amazing and I'm crying 😭💕 As a massive fan of epic fantasy, getting to read a really good epic fantasy tale with queer love at the center of it is so fulfilling

If you're looking for a lesbian smut novel look no further! This shit is hot 🥵. And has decent character writing and plotting to keep it interstesting. Can't wait for the sequal audio book in a few weeks.

This was an enjoyable read. I was already a fan of the Tiktok series, which is why I picked this up. But I couldn't help but feel it was lacking something, though I can't quite put my finger on what, that keeps it from 5 stars.

JC's motivations for getting involved in the larger plot felt a bit thin without the (non-cannon) context of the Tiktok series. I think spending a bit more time with JC getting close to the Cafe staff might have helped sell it. Honestly all of the characters expert Violet seemed a little under developed.

Decent book. A fun read if you're a fan of the Tiktok series.
