Anarchist Parenting: A Reading Guide Public

What sort of early education/socialization should a child have?

How do anarchists feel about the current (primary/secondary) school systems? Is home schooling the best choice or do we fight to fund our public schools, even as we build dual power institutions to liberate our kids? Is the authority of a guardian figure justified in order to keep a child out of harm? To what extent?

As anarchists and parents, we are open to a wide range of parenting theories and educational practices. After capitalism, each community‘s individual culture and educational systems would be different as each would be self-managed; how do we maintain a common thread throughout.

Some of books on this reading list will address anti-authoritarian parenting, while others look towards pedagogy as a means for societal change.
